LUCHA CON FUERZA: SATX Fashion Showcase is a celebration curated by community members as an opportunity to share the powerful and inspiring history of Fuerza Unida, a grassroots organization formed by women for workers’ rights. Our goal is to uplift lifelong members, while also activating new audiences to garner more support and help sustain their ongoing programming, such as their youth fellowships, health and wellness clubs, free sewing and skill-building workshops, and the longest running food distribution in the Southside of San Antonio. Overall, the hope is to amplify, celebrate and honor Fuerza Unida’s legacy of the lifelong work they have led that continues to nourish and empower so many to this day. This special event will feature a fashion show for Hilo de la Justicia (The Thread of Justice) showcasing exclusive pieces produced by Fuerza Unida and their lead seamstress, Enedina Montez.
